Hawaii R and R

When we saw that one of the Workshops of a Lifetime was in Hawaii, Sterling spoke to be my assistant for that workshop—and he also insisted that we come a little early. I didn’t argue with him at all! So we’ve been here in Hawaii enjoying the gorgeous weather, the fabulous food, and the wonderful opportunity to work (I’ve slipped quite a bit of work in between eating and resting) with a view of the beach in the background. (Can that really count as work?)

We haven’t done much else. We have taken a quick trip to Matsumoto’s (the best shaved-ice place ever!) and Cholo’s (they make a cheese, spinach, and chicken enchilada to die for!), gone to church, and just rejuvenated. If you can be boring in Hawaii, we’ve been it!

I think I’m mentally preparing for this next stretch of workshops—it will be the longest yet without returning home. We do the workshop here, then I fly from Hawaii to Georgia in a day, meet up with Sara, and do two workshops on Thursday and Friday. I get to spend Easter weekend with the Browns, and then next week I do workshops in Michigan before arriving home two days before Shanna’s wedding. We planned the bridal shower on Friday so I could be there, and the wedding is on Saturday. And then I’m off again on the next Monday for more workshops!

So I’m doing all the resting and rejuvenating I can here, while I can. Aloha!

Thanks to you and Stampin' Up, I can totally imagine R&R in Hawaii--because I've been there on the incentive trip! Thank you again for that experience of a lifetime, and enjoy this time of rest while you prepare mentally and physically for the challenges of the next couple of weeks.

Have fun in Hawaii! Matsumoto's is the best! You deserve to relax, so be as lazy as you can be!

Oh Shelli, please take care of yourself! Your current schedule is grueling, to say the least, and it would be so easy for your body to become overwhelmed, R & R in Hawaii notwithstanding. There is so much more joy and beauty and creativity and love for you to share with us and everyone around you, please take time for yourself in all of this.

Aloha! I'm glad you're getting to rest and relax w/ your honey. What a blessing that Shanna has sisters. I'm sure she is getting lots of wonderful and needed help from them. Enjoy your workshops, Easter and all the wedding festivities! I hope everything goes as planned - especially no flight delays!

Wow - what a schedule! You'll be happy to know weather here in Georgia should be beautiful for Easter Sunday! But then again the weather man isn't always right either. Spring is here.
Take care of yourself and enjoy all your travels.

Matsumoto’s is one of the things I miss most about Hawaii! I'm so jealous but you totally deserve to have a break from your crazy schedule. Hope you both enjoy the time together!

Looking forward to seeing you and Sterling at Hamilton Island in October ...

It's funny. We (my husband and I) just got back from Hawaii, couple weeks ago. Few months ago I said that I am going to visit my friend, who just moved to Hawaii for part of her residency. Usually he doesn't want to come with me, and I go alone. Now he spoke up, he wanted to come too :) After all it's Hawaii :)Hope you had fun!
