Tanner's Weekend

With Tanner entering the Mission Training Center only weeks away, this was his big weekend. He was ordained an elder Saturday morning; we went to the temple together later in the day; and yesterday he gave his “farewell” address in church. Family meals were sprinkled in between events, of course, which was a great chance to visit with extended family we seldom see. It was a spiritual and fun weekend filled with family time in support and honor of Tanner, our oldest grandson and first to serve a two-year mission for our church. We’re so proud of him!

What a lovely weekend. It's a beautiful thing when a family worships together and shares their lives intertwined as does yours. I love seeing and hearing about your family gatherings.

It was such a pleasure to get to meet him on the Med trip. He seems very grounded and ready. We're preparing here as well...getting my daughter ready to head to the MTC in August.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tanner on the recent Med Cruise, what a lovely young man. He is so like Sterling.

That's so exciting! Are you sharing where he's going or do you prefer privacy for him? Either way, congratulations to this new Elder!

I should have posted where Tanner's been called to serve his mission. He'll be in Portland, Oregon.
