Welcome to my personal blog!

Just as I share some of my personal thoughts and views, I invite you to share yours. All I ask is that you keep your comments appropriate. I won’t feel badly about removing comments that are offensive. That doesn’t mean you can’t be honest—I want honest feedback—but I like to fill my life with positive people and positive things. I guess that means that if you have to say something negative, say it nicely!

More than anything, I want you to leave here feeling inspired and valued—and like we've had a nice visit!

Great People

Although the weather looked a little sketchy at first, it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon for the Riverton summer party last week—nice enough to do some batting and play golf and Bingo in the sunshine.

And even though yesterday’s barbecue in Kanab was rained out, it didn’t dampen spirits in the least. The food was good and Bingo was still popular indoors, along with Jenga, ping pong and card games.

Both events were a chance for employees to have fun together and enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed environment. It’s always a great time when you’re with the great people who work at Stampin’ Up!

Real and Fun

Sara asked if I’d like to join her for her Facebook Live event last night, making cards from the Oh, Happy Day kit. Well, who says no to spending time and stamping with their daughter? Not me!

Things didn’t go exactly as planned (when do they?), but we got to stamp together and chat with everyone who joined us on FB. After the event, we questioned some of the things we talked about, but we had warned it would be real, and it was! And it was really fun!

Moroccan Nights and Oh, Happy Day

I’ve always thought the Moroccan Nights set (and suite of products) is so cool, so I asked one of our artists to make some unique projects for me to share with you.

The first Moroccan Nights project was Shalae’s birthday packaging. The center part is just the DSP rolled into a tube and secured after cutting fringe on both edges—a perfect place to put rolled up birthday bills so they don’t fall out or get lost.

The other projects—all four fabulous cards—are great ideas for World Card Making Day! As always, photos just don't do these cards justice. I wish you could touch them and see them up close. They're beautiful cards with lots of texture!

If you like options (like me) and you’re looking for a simpler way to prepare for World Card Making Day, order the Oh, Happy Day card kit (if you haven’t already) and join Sara and me during her Facebook event on September 20 for tips on making some fun cards for any time—night or day. (Get it? Moroccan Nights or Oh, Happy Day! I thought it was a cute…thanks for humoring me just a little!)

Sensational Sidney

I remember the day this 18-year old was born, and now she’s an adult! Where does the time go? Seriously.

Sara and I decided to coordinate Sidney’s card and gift box. They match her personality, and the words on the front of the card say a lot about our sensational Sidney!

Red, Black, and White Boys

Yesterday was Tanner’s birthday, and I hope he received this in the mail and smiled. It’s the perfect gift box for a missionary…crisp, no-iron shirt with a classic red satin tie under a conservative black suit (with a little pop of fun on the bottom of the box)!

It was also Nate’s birthday. You might have guessed by the colors and the feathers that the White family members are huge Utah Ute fans! Items with the Utah Ute’s logo include license plates, vehicle window shades, blankets, clothes (and the list goes on), so the colors and the themes were appropriate for these two White birthday boys.
