Prepping, Painting, Stenciling--and Reunioning

I got home late tonight after celebrating the Fourth in Kanab. I’m exhausted, but I thought I’d quickly write about Thursday and Friday, then catch you up on the Fourth tomorrow.

On Wednesday we headed down here to do a little decorating at our manufacturing facility. In our lobby, we have a couple of vignettes that Mom Pat and I work most years. We updated one of them quite quickly, but the second one took a little more time and effort because we had to start from scratch.

On Thursday, we spent most of our time prepping the wall and then painting, and then yesterday we started the main job, which was stenciling. I LOVE stenciling (I think I’ve mentioned that before), and I am excited about featuring that technique this year in our Kanab facility

In between the stenciling, I attended my (gasp!) 30-year-reunion! I can’t believe it’s been that long—I certainly don’t feel that old! We had a lunchtime picnic in the park with families, and then in the evening, the grown-ups got together for dinner with their partners. I’ll talk more about that early next week; I thought it would be fun to share a high school photo, and I don’t have one down here, so I guess that’s something you can look forward to. . .

Anyway, after dinner, I headed back to the stenciling, which Mom Pat and I finally finished! It feels good to have it done. . Jon took lots of pictures, and we’ll have several of them on display at convention.

How fun, love the stenciling! I worked all day on swap cards for convention, 68 done so far. Just looked at the calendar and I will be in SLC in less than a month, convention will be here before we know it, can't wait! Looking forward to seeing more pictures, thanks for sharing.

Oh great, now I'll have to plan a return trip to Kanab to see the new displays! I really enjoyed seeing them last year when my hubby and I visited the manufacturing plant prior to convention. So glad you got to spend time with Ma Pat and attending your reunion!

Even painting you look good! Thanks for all that you share. I look forward to seeing what you looked like in HS and in hearing how you celebrated the 4th.
I have to tell you that I just received my catty from my awesome UL! WOW! What a book! Love, love, love it! It was especially fun to look @ your family pic & remember your post about the whole process. So fun that you put an insert pic of Shanna! Did you send her the matching top? I'll bet you are a fun missionary mom.

One thing that I really appreciate about having you at the head of SU! is that you really take part in everything SU! does. You even stencil the walls yourself! Talk about commitment to your company. :D

I look forward to saying "hi" in person at convention next month!

I hope you had a great Fourth of July weekend!

PLEASE answer this question Shelli!!! How do you line up the stencil so it stays straight?? I want to do this in my entry way ASAP but I can't imagine how you keep it straight.

I can only imagine what a busy life you lead Shelli - you work hard, spend time with your family and it's wonderful to see you taking time to be crafty too! The stenciling looks fantastic - just wish you had time to come & do a room in my house! ;-)

Shelli,
I just visited your blog and enjoyed reading and seeing the things you do with your family and some of the things you do for Stampin' Up! You are a real inspriation! The first thing I do every morning after my decaf coffee is get online and check out the demo web section and see what is going on since I last visited. I check you blog frequently and always find it inspiring and fun to view. After I read the latest about you and Stampin' Up! I'm smilling the entire day long.
Thanks for being you!
