Convention Mode

It’s official! I kicked into what I call “Convention Mode” today. I’ve actually been mostly in convention mode for the past couple of days, focusing on convention-related projects and tasks. I even wrote Shanna last night (two days earlier than usual) because I knew I probably wouldn’t be able to if I waited until Tuesday.

When I’m in convention mode, I am completely focused on what’s happening at convention: my general session messages and stamping presentations and our demonstrators—what they need and what I can do for them. I might listen to my voice messages once a day. And e-mail? Ha! I just resign myself to the fact that I’ll be way behind once I finally log in to my computer sometime next week.

So this is probably it for the blog this week, although in my eternally optimistic state, I’m hoping to get July’s creative challenge winners selected. (Don’t hold your breath though!)

I look forward to convention all year long, and the chance to spend valuable time with our demonstrators. So convention mode is not a bad thing at all—it’s just a pretty narrowly focused state of mind.

So we’ll chat again early next week!

I too am in convention mode, along with a ton of other demonstrators I'm sure! I look forward to convention every year and am counting down the hours until I get to hang out with creative, funny women and don't have little ones knocking on the shower door while I'm in there! Now back to making way too many swaps!

I'm so bummed out because I'm missing my 15th year with Stampin' Up! But right now my husband needs me here with him. I will miss you all. My daughter Sue will hopefully tell me all about it.
Miss seeing you Shelli, I'm remembering all the earlier Conventions and the fun it all was. Enjoy with everyone.
Hugs to you all.

Sounds like a PARTY! Everyone have a great time and I hope all goes as planned.
Shelli, I hope you'll post some pictures after. It seems like most of your daughters & their spouses attend, don't they? I'm sure you all have some fun convention traditions. Although, I'd like to know what the MEN that married Gardner girls REALLY think of it. :)

Hey, not to worry, Shelli! Focus on convention, it's your BIG couple of days! I doubt I'll ever make convention...just not physically up to it. I only hope (with fingers and toes crossed!) that you'll be able to make the Coeur d'Alene regional, since that's probably the only "convention-ish" experience I'm likely to get, lol! Enjoy yourself!

I have been in Utah since July 29 won't leave until Aug 15 and I am really having a hard time adjusting to not being downtown in SLC. I am in South Jordan with my son and his family along with my daughter and her family from NJ. I miss all of yo! I know a good time will be had by all.

Shelli,
I HAVE to know where you got the shoes you were wearing on Sat. on stage at Convention...you know those FAB white ones. I thought about chasing after you behind stage but then thought better of that. Second to stamping I am a total heels addict! I can't wait till you respond- I am so in search of a great pair of white heels. I found a perfect pair of red patten leather heel at Nordstroms the week before Convention, and I am so excited to get home since they are there waiting for me!!! Thanks for such a great Convention and a look at some desirable shoes. :)

Shelli,
I have seen you in action!!! Someday I will see you as a motivational speaker!! I miss being part of SU! family!! All the fun at conventions, the excitement, being with friends, and the momentum mall!!! I'll be bsck someday. The economy made a choice for me, unfortunately. I wish there were a group for newly NOT demonstrators...so sad I'm not there.
Love SU!

Just home from another Great Convention! Didn't get a chance to say hi to Shelli, but I did get to talk with Sterling. As always it was great fun, I think it was my 10th or 11th convention. Thanks so much Shelli!

By the way there were many of us ringing bells in your honor at opening session, but they cheering was so loud I don't think you heard them. We wanted you to know we attended convention "With bells on"!
