There's No Place Like Home

I’m happy today. Just got back from the CHA show. I love seeing new products and ideas—I’m always inspired. I also enjoy knowing that a lot of the new products we are offering and will be offering are right on trend. It’s comforting and reassuring to see that at least some of what’s getting a lot of attention at the show is often what we’re planning to offer in upcoming catalogs.

I also enjoy seeing people I know—current and former demonstrators, vendors, and others I’ve met through my Stampin’ Up! experience. I love connecting with old friends and making new ones.

While I’m happy, my feet are not nearly as happy. Or at least they weren’t. We cover A LOT of ground at these kinds of shows, and my feet dictate what I wear—no high heels for me! But even wearing flats the last two days hasn’t meant my feet didn’t pay a price. They were very happy to be back where I’m not doing nearly as much walking. And my body is pretty happy to be back at home in my own bed too!

I must admit I quite like being back, in my own warm, comfy spaces. There’s definitely no place like home. . . .

Welcome back! I'm glad you had a good time and I'm especially glad to hear that Stampin' Up! continues to be "right on trend". I'm not surprised. In fact, it's one of the MANY things I love about Stampin' Up!. I'm always excited to see (and demonstrate) the new products in the catalogs. The current products in the Occasions Mini are to die for! Thanks for all you do for Stampin' Up! and all you do for your Demonstrators. I love, love, love, being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!

I agree! There's no place like home! In fact, a few nights ago as my wonderful hubby & I were just snuggling down under the covers in our super duper comfy bed - I commented that while I wish I never needed any sleep, as I feel it is a waste of time - sometimes there is just nothing better then crawling into our own bed at home.

Hi Shelli,

I saw you and Sterling at CHA but you were busy speaking with someone and I didn't want to interupt. But I also thought...."all they want to do is check out the new and exciting things for crafters, don't bother them."

But I sure got excited that I spotted you in that huge crowd. That was the highlight of my day! I was carrying around my SU bag too! LOL

On another note, I just have to say how much I am enjoying Stampin Connection. I've posted my cards and have had some nice positive feedback. It's great connecting with fellow demos. Thank you for this new and great idea.

Oh, I knew that was you. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. I was standing in our booth when I saw you walking past, and I was too shy to walk over to say hello. I don't know why - I'm not usually.

I hope you saw lots of inspiring products. I didn't get out of our booth much, but I was excited by a few of the new things I saw!

Shelli I am so envious of not being able to go to CHA just to look ;) but I know you always have the best and coolest products for us!

I also think you need to have a foot spa and maybe Sterling can give you a foot masage.

Shelli, You've got to try Dansko shoes for those long days on your feet. They're cool, give a woman a little height (which makes you feel strong) and are comfortable beyond belief - much better than sneakers or any flats.

I've been seeing reports from CHA and I think Stampin' Up! is ahead of the trends in many ways - banners, our great new clear mount stamps, shimmer paint and more. The Occasions Mini is right and and my customers are already getting excited about the summer mini, and, of course, the new big catalog. They love having one big catalog a year and these fantastic minis for new and fresh products.
