Dinner--At Last!

Last night all the Gardner adults went out to eat dinner for the first time in. . . well, so long that none of us can remember! Jon is home from Savannah for the holidays, Megan and Nate came up from Price for the weekend, and the rest of us were already in town—I enjoy having everyone together!

The company was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the entire evening was relaxing. We chatted about the upcoming holidays and scheduled a few family things, but mostly we just enjoyed being together.

I took a photo, of course, because since I’ve started the blog I take a LOT more photos than I ever did before! The kids made fun of me a little because earlier this week I texted them and asked them to all wear either neutral colors or brown tones. I had a page (plus three coordinating cards) that were created for a publication, but they ended up not being used.

I fell in love with the projects, though, and wanted to use them somewhere, so I decided I’d post them on my blog. However, I needed a reason to post them. I decided last night would be the perfect occasion! So we had a photo taken, and I came home after dinner and put it on the page!

And it’s a good thing I did, because the first heavy snowstorm of the season started last night while we were eating. We sat inside and watched the snow come down; it was beautiful and just added to the cozy atmosphere. (It wasn’t nearly so beautiful driving home in it!)

So the “fall” feel of these projects feels pretty much out of season, but I’m glad I got a chance to share them with you! I’m also glad I got to spend the evening with my family!

I love the projects- thanks for sharing. It sounds like everyone had a wonderful evening out. I'm sure Shalae is so excited to have her family all together, too. I look forward to seeing more projects that you do in the coming month.

Great job taking beautiful pics to post to your blog. (Funny.....I ask the same thing of my December stamp group ladies to wear red or Christmas colors because I take this Dec pic to Sam's Club and make a 5/7 inch calendar and give everyone who attended and I want it to look pretty.) I've done this for 7 yrs.

Congratulations!!! 10,000 new recruits since July. Amazing. All you need to do is ask. I 'got the message' at convention, came home and recruited 3. One of them has her own downline. I've been a demo selling $7,000+ each year for the past 8 yrs with no downline.
Yes, I'm going to Nashville in January, rooming with my amazing SU artistic sideline Mary Jones!

Keep posting your personal photos to your blog. I love them best. They are beautiful. I started my blog in March and I look to you on how to better my pics I blog for my designated stampin' up blog.

I eagerly look forward to working with my new downline with your/our amazing/awesome company.

You are AMAZING to me, simply amazing.

Blessings to you and your family,
Gina Taylor

Hi Shelli! I love your blog and I've been meaning to ask you a question since last year. How did your giving of cash at Christmas turn out? I know you said it was a new thing you were trying and as someone who normally doesn't like to give cash, I was wondering how that went. My kids' lists are so varied, I don't know how else to keep things fair (and easy on myself). I'm anxious to hear how you felt, and what the response of your children was. Thanks!

This is the first time on your blog. ( I am a new SU Demonstrator and am excited!) Loved the cards and especially the last one with cut out flower. I used similar technique with one to my dear sister. But, rerally love all you did on this card. May use the idea with a party. I am so honored to be a part of such a great organization...the more I do and learn the more fun it becomes! Also admire the friendship and family factor you all so cherish. Looking forward to growing. I turned 60 in October and the best is yet to come!
Kudos to all of you out there. Shellie has simply made us all a BIG FAMILY!

Greetings from Warrenville, IL.
