Wedding Photos

After Shanna’s wedding in April, I promised I’d post a link to the photographer’s site so you could see at least some of the wedding photos. And then life happened, and that promise slipped my mind.

Last week while we were at Lake Powell, I looked through the wedding photos for the first time. There were hundreds, and they brought back wonderful memories of a beautiful day. They also reminded me of my promise to you.

So here are the photos. I was going to just post a link to Scott Foust’s (the photographer) site [Click here], but there were several photos we really liked that he didn’t include on his site, so I figured I’d post some as well as include the link.

I tried to keep the focus on Shanna and Jared—after all, it was their special day. But Shanna insisted I include one photo of just me, the one wearing bright white booties. The story behind the photo is short and sweet—it was a crisp morning and when we walked around the temple grounds to take pictures, I wanted to keep my feet warm, so I put on my white booties, and then my high heels. Everyone thought it was hilarious, and the moment was captured in a photo so my family (and now you!) could tease me about it forever! (smile)

Thanks for sharing in this wonderful day with me all over again!

At the risk of complete cheese and corn *lol* ....as I looked through these pics I thought that when my children are grown, I want to be as full of life as what you are Shelli! *end cheese corn moment* Gorgeous gorgeous & if it were me, I would've added a "Snuggie" to that white bootie ensemble *LOL!*

Shelli I could of borrowed those booties when we had our first fire evacuation at convention, I went out side bare footed and it was a tad cold after an hour or so. I looked so silly with my runners on the next time but at least I could feel my feet when we got back in.

Absolutely stunning pics - what a beautiful setting and family. You ca just see the love shining in these pics - even in the one of you with your warm feet (me I would have ditched the heels and worn boots LOL - you do need some lovely handknit socks I think to keep your feet warm)

Thank you for sharing. The photos are beautiful. I, today got to sit with my son and his new bride and share their February wedding photos for the first time. It is very exciting and such a wonderful time in ours and our children's life. My son got married during a major blizzard - I could have used socks like those!

Thanks for sharing these great pictures, and for all the pictures you give to us. They give us a glimpse at moments in your life, and let us feel a bit closer to you, even though you can't possible know us all. Your blog is fabulous. You are a great leader, and look forward to seeing you at convention :) (Maybe you could come out on stage for the first time in your white stockings and high heels? Smile)

THE BOOTIES - I showed them to my Mom and she totally empathised with you, As you know my Mom is always cold and she thought you were a real sport! She would have made us promise not to take a picture :) xx
