Gardner Greetings

Like many of you, we try to send out a family newsletter every year, updating people about what’s going on in the Gardner family and including a recent photo.

Also like many of you, we used to send our newsletter out around Christmastime. However, several years ago I realized that for me the Christmas update just made the holidays even more hectic, so I decided to send out the Gardner Greetings in the spring. That worked for a year or two, then it slipped to the summer, and last year I didn’t send one out at all!

This year I promised myself I’d get it sent out. And I’m making progress! Here’s the designed letterhead, which is step 1! Step 2 is finding a few hours to stamp them all. And step 3, of course, is to write the letter.

I was going to wait to post it until I got it completely done, but I could see it slipping later and later into the year, and I hope that by posting the designed letterhead, I’ll put a little pressure on myself to get this done—plus share a stamped project!

I love your letter head. How many do you send out? I was just thinking yesterday that we never send out a family update at Christmas- my husband and I always felt like it was a funny thing to do. But I like the idea of sending it out at a different time of the year. Fall is my favorite time so that just might be our special time!

A digital e-card w/music would be a quick and easy solution to that problem! (lol)

However, we all know there is nothing as warm, personal or beautiful as a hand-stamped item!

Wishing you success on your project...

Beautiful! Now I am not skilled at MDS but I wondered if you could create that on MDS and then print out the number you need - could be a time saver if you need to do many. One of these days I will master MDS myself!! It's on my list of "to do's". TFS

This makes me feel better!! I've been working on "Christmas" cards for my downline for the last two months and they keep getting pushed aside. I'm determined to finish them this week and make them "Happy New Catalog" cards. Thanks for the inspiration to push ahead and get it done!

What kind of paper do you stamp them on? Card stock or something else?

Beautiful work! Good luck getting them done. I know how quickly time slips away. I can't believe convention is almost here!

I'm all inspired to share this super idea - both the letterhead and timing. I had to drop my Christmas letter too & was feeling a bit guilty. Thanks Shelli!

I love your new header for your blog- such a pretty color scheme. And the purple flowers in the background of your picture are beautiful. Are those in your own yard, by chance?

I was so excited to see the title of your post and I love the colors of the website....BUT it took me a minute to figure out why the article didn't talk about plants. DUH! Being a master Gardner it was just a tad disappointing. The colors are smashing. I assume the colors are SU colors, right?
