Welcome to my personal blog!

Just as I share some of my personal thoughts and views, I invite you to share yours. All I ask is that you keep your comments appropriate. I won’t feel badly about removing comments that are offensive. That doesn’t mean you can’t be honest—I want honest feedback—but I like to fill my life with positive people and positive things. I guess that means that if you have to say something negative, say it nicely!

More than anything, I want you to leave here feeling inspired and valued—and like we've had a nice visit!

More Sale-A-Bration for You

I’ve got a couple more Sale-A-Bration projects to share.

I like the Happiness Always card because I love it when you can use an image in a clever, different way than it was originally intended. Notice the flower on this card? It was made from the tree image from the Good Neighbors set!

And we have new neighbors in our neighborhood, so I’m excited to welcome them with the Welcome, Neighbor favor. (Who doesn’t love chocolate!) Whenever you’re working with acetate, you have to use Sticky Strip, and I like how the Welcome Neighbor Designer Series paper (Old Olive) covers the Sticky Strip and acts as a nice backdrop to the little row of chocolate houses.

You might not notice it at first glance, but the little tag was also made with the Scallop Trim Border punch. Another cute little addition. . . .

Have a happy stamping weekend!

There's No Place Like Home

I’m happy today. Just got back from the CHA show. I love seeing new products and ideas—I’m always inspired. I also enjoy knowing that a lot of the new products we are offering and will be offering are right on trend. It’s comforting and reassuring to see that at least some of what’s getting a lot of attention at the show is often what we’re planning to offer in upcoming catalogs.

I also enjoy seeing people I know—current and former demonstrators, vendors, and others I’ve met through my Stampin’ Up! experience. I love connecting with old friends and making new ones.

While I’m happy, my feet are not nearly as happy. Or at least they weren’t. We cover A LOT of ground at these kinds of shows, and my feet dictate what I wear—no high heels for me! But even wearing flats the last two days hasn’t meant my feet didn’t pay a price. They were very happy to be back where I’m not doing nearly as much walking. And my body is pretty happy to be back at home in my own bed too!

I must admit I quite like being back, in my own warm, comfy spaces. There’s definitely no place like home. . . .

Off to CHA

Sterling and I are leaving for the CHA (Craft Hobby Association) show in California today. We don’t go for the whole show, but I enjoy going for a couple of days to walk through the exhibits and see what’s hot and new. I’m always inspired, and I LOVE spending a few days with my sweetheart!

We’ll be back Tuesday night, and I’m not taking my computer, so I won’t be posting for a few days. . . .

More Sale-A-Brating

Pajama day today—love those! I worked on Valentine’s projects for my girls, which I’ll post when I finish.

In the meantime, I promised I’d share some Sale-A-Bration projects, and I thought these two cards were cute. (I've included close-ups of the accent images.)

Hope you’re having fun with your own Sale-A-Bration creating. . . .

A Quick Follow-Up

I’ve been touched by your positive responses to our Haiti Relief Campaign--thank you so much for all your support and encouragement.

I just wanted to give a quick answer to one of the questions I read. One of you had asked about also donating your commissions from your sale of the stamp set as well. Unfortunately, we aren’t set up to handle those kinds of donations.

However, I’d certainly encourage you to make any personal donations you’d like. You can make them to Red Cross or any other reputable relief organization. And I wasn’t surprised at all by your desires to give even more---you are all amazing! Thank you for your example and inspiration!
