The Behind-the-Scenes Shot

Every once in a while, I schedule a photo shoot to update my head shots used in different places (catalogs, magazines, web sites, etc.) at Stampin’ Up! You’ll even notice one on this blog!

I smiled when I saw this photo from today’s shoot. It’s a family affair, and everyone pitches in. My son-in-law Jon, my personal photographer, was taking the pictures, and Shalae was helping out—even at nine months pregnant, she’s a team player. It was almost high noon, and after make-up and outfit changes, we’d been at it for almost three hours. She did an incredible job of standing on the wagon wheel, balancing the scrim and her ready-to-burst tummy, and ignoring the hot summer sun.

I thought you’d find this shot as heartwarming as I did. And you’ll also be ready to celebrate when I share the news of baby Phoebe’s birth, which should be any day—and not nearly soon enough for Shalae!

So when you see this head shot of me show up somewhere in a magazine or online, you can smile because you know what was going on behind the scenes!

Hi Shelli, I just noticed that your jacket print in the blog headline photo looks similar to a Decor Element--Organic Outline! Wow a walking ad for DEs... Hugs Sharon

This picture should definitely go into Phoebe's scrapbook! Just think of all the things Shalae could tell her she was doing...."I was fanning Grandma because it was SO hot outside", "I was shading Grandma to keep the sun out of her eyes because the sun was SO bright!"...the list goes on! As a mom the presidence has been set...keep this in mind Shalae! LOL!! Seriously, this is an AWESOME picture and it just shows the love y'all have for one another! Thank you for sharing this with us! :c)

Awesome pic to share Shelli! And Shalae you go girl! I was always annoyed when people wouldn't let me do *anything* when I was pregnant - I always thought, "I'm pregnant, not decrepit!" lol Probably a good thing they didn't see me at home standing on swiveling chairs, they might have went into fits! :)

Love & friendhsip, Juli

Was Shalae one of the 4 wheelers? My last job before Stampin'Up was a soil researcher and one of my tools was a 4 wheeler. Some places were nice and others i had to make my own path. I'm glad you are sharing this with us. Good luck and congrats to all.

I hope your new head shot gets as many compliments as Shalae's good spirited help! I feel such sympathy for every mom awaiting the arrival of a summer baby - I hope Phoebe's appearance is soon.

Shelli,
That is an awesome picture! Great Job, Jon, for even thinking to pan out and include Shalae. I agree with everyone else that Shalae is quite the trooper and I'm mighty impressed with her balancing abilities--considering her center of gravity is a bit off in her state. :) Thank you so much for sharing the behind the scenes with us. This is definitely one for the scrapbook! Can't wait to hear about the exciting news of Pheobe's arrival!

Keepin' it real is what it's all about!!

And way to go Shalae, you are my kind of gal! - I think your mom knows what I mean! *wink*

Can't wait to hear of sweet Phoebe's arrival! You Gardner girls always make me smile!
