Chalkboard Reminders

I don’t know if you noticed that we now have Chalkboard Décor Elements; they’re in the new Definitely Decorative insert. When I saw them, I couldn’t resist trying one out.

I chose this medium-size Decorative Sign because it fit perfectly on a wall in the hallway leading into our kitchen. You can see it when you walk into our back door, as well as when you walk into the kitchen, so it’s the perfect place to remind everyone about anything important. (I can also use it to write a quick love note to my sweetheart if I want!)

It was quick and easy to put up—I literally put it up in the time it took for my familyto set the table for dinner last night. If you use decent chalk (at first I used cheap chalk from a Happy Meal, and it didn’t work very well!), it’s easy to write on, and it cleans up quick and easy too. I can tell already it’s going to be very useful; I’m planning on using it for all sorts of quick reminders. Right now, anyone who sees it will remember that we have two “can’t-miss” family activities this weekend.

My only regret is that I didn’t take the time to put it up sooner!

I can't wait to get this one too! It's so cute and I have the perfect spot picked out for it.

These are very cute and clever. My daughters have recently made over their rooms (they are teens-one in college) with Decore Elements. They are clamoring for me to get a large enough order to get the hostess chalkboard set (the flowers). Such a terrific idea! I am going to put some of the thought bubble ones in my studio!

I love this- when I first saw it, I though, "where did she get that neat metal chalk board sign!" I don't have a place for one where we live now but might have to get one to save for a later date! One by or in a laundry room would be nice to remind myself and husband when something goes in the washer that can't be dried or needs to have a stain checked before going in the dryer!

This is a GREAT idea!! Beautiful too. We have a vintage chalkboard hanging in our kitchen and it really is one of the best tools we have to keep our family of 6 organized. Will have to look into these smaller decor versions. Thanks for sharing.

SO dang cute. We just have a white board at our house now, but this is WAY cuter than that. Thanks for the idea. <3

Hi Shelli,
I LOVE your new blog banner! I've had so much fun playing with MDS and changing my own blog banner almost every month! I guess you could say I'm a new "MDS Addict"!
Merry Christmas!

I have textured walls in my home, so I was wondering how I could put this in my kitchen. I love it and my hubby even saw a pic of it and asked when I was going to get that for our "resturant". With 5 kids, our kitchen gets really busy and I'd love to use this to let the kids know what's for dinner. Let me know any of your ideas. Thanks :)

So I just want to say how sad it is that this company has gone so "corporate" I remember when this company was all about the demonstrators and now its all about the extra penny in the pocket.... My wife worked for your company for 5 years and has had some attendance problems due to health issues, but she is very passionate about her job and always does excellent work. I know in my heart that if this was going on one year ago my wife would still have a job. (not to mention a great support group to help her through these hard times) She was a S.A.M. that loved the stampin up company and everything they stood for now to have dirt kicked in her face while she is down 4 days before Christmas is shocking and heart braking.... I really hope that you will make this right Shelli
