TODAY Goody Bags

I made it home last night! Had a wonderful time in NYC—especially after I was able to relax when the TODAY Show appearance was over.
When I planned the trip, I invited Shanna to come along; it’s been so long since she’s taken a pleasure trip. When Sara and Shalae heard about it, they asked if they could tag along if they bought their own tickets, so we ended up making it a foursome.
It was fun to have the girls with me in the green room as I prepped for the segment—and they got to meet Hoda and Kathy Lee.
And it was even more fun to spend a couple of days with them in the Big Apple.
Of course, our main objective was to EAT!!! Since we all love food, we planned our activities around which restaurant we wanted to try out. (Liz Gray, Stampin’ Up!’s PR person joined us for our Friday meals.)
We also managed a little shopping, enjoyed the lights at Rockefeller Plaza (a holiday must!), and visited our Church’s meetinghouse, where we watched an amazing Christmas concert. What talent they have in the local congregation! We got back to the hotel room each night at a fairly reasonable hour and wound down by watching an in-room movie. It was a wonderful weekend!
As promised, here are the “goody bags” (complete with handmade tags) we presented to the hosts, producers, etc., who made our TODAY Show spot possible. We made two versions—one for women, and one for men.
Of course, the main attraction was half a dozen hand-stamped cards; the women got six different cards, and the men got two each of three different cards, so it was quite a task! I’ve shown each of the cards separately, so you can see each one up close.
We also included a pad, a couple of stamps, My Digital Studio (wrapped in Designer Series Paper and a handmade belly band, of course), and some of my favorite made-in-Utah treats (honey and Garden Gate toffee—to die for!).
Now I’m ready to tackle my holiday list in earnest (in between work, of course)! So much to do---shopping, wrapping, decorating, baking . . . and, oh yeah, I’m planning on hosting a Stampin’ Up! workshop in the middle of all this too! Anyone want to come? (smile)

That was so nice for You and the girls to get away together, time well spent I think.
Love your projects as well.
Wishing You and your Family very Merry Christmas filled with love, laughter and warm memories.
The projects are terrific, and it looks like you had a great time! Do I spy some frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity 3? My husband and I were there on our last trip. NYC is such a fun place to visit!
I am so thankful everyday to be a part of the SU family! Thanks Shelli for that.
Inky Hugs,
Terry~~
I LOVE the cards and tags on the goody bags! I hope they are inspired to have you back for another segment! Looks like you had fun with the girls in NYC. That reminds me that I need to arrange a girls weekend with my mom and sisters!

Thanks for sharing those wonderful projects!
I wish I was closer I would love to attend a workshop that you held. That would be a awesome incentive sometime for someone to win a workshop that you host for them.
Enjoy your holiday preparations.

You hosting a workshop is just so cool. I always tell my gals that you would come in, sit down and be one of them, and have a blast doing so.Wish I could come to your party.
Merry Christmas to your entire family.
Oh and you had to have gone to Serendipity as I recognize that Frozzzzzzzen Hot Chocolate. That is a goal to get there some day. That is my favorite movie.
Hugs,
Di
And I'm sorry I can't make it to your workshop. I miss being a hostess where someone else demonstrates! So how about you come be my demonstrator for my first Sale-a-Bration workshop in 2010? I'll even provide the supplies... you just have to show up, inspire, and create! (Let me know which dates are good for you. I don't live too far away...if you fly.) Best wishes!
I so wish I could come to your workshop! I sometimes try to picture you as a young mom holding workshops and if you were nervous or not. I have little ones and they sometimes come out to visit the guests at my in home classes. Fun!
I think the TODAY show should have you back for a craft segment or home decorating segment. You would be great!
Hugs,
