Stamping with Friends

During the Australia convention last May, I showed a batch of holiday gift tags for part of my stamping presentation. Pam Morgan (Stampin’ Up!’s vice president of demonstrator development) was with me and she fell in love with the tags. “Promise me that you’ll invite me over to make these tags sometime before the holidays,” she said.

Well, the holidays were still many months away, so I promised.

Now the holidays aren’t so far away, and I realized that if I was going to keep my promise, we’d better plan an evening pretty soon…as in immediately.

The only day Pam could do it that I could do it was last night. Happily, both her daughter and several of my daughters were also available. So we had a fun stamping night with family and friends.

Pam and her daughter did the tags (swapping out some of the Australian product for current US product) while the rest of us worked on other stamping projects. And I was reminded again how fun it is to stamp—especially with a group of friends.

We chatted, we laughed, we shared, and we left with completed projects in hand. Oh, Pam brought dinner for all of us too, and it was yummy! What more can you ask for!

Love the ideas! Thanks. I made all of our tags with the top notez die- I love love love that die. I use it all of the time. My 2 toddlers each made a Christmas tree ornament tonight with it- and lots of glitter!

Those tags look wonderful! Winter Post is one of my favorite set. I fell in love with it when I saw it displayed on a post at the Legacy Museum during Convention 2008. I was so happy when I saw it was available in the minicatalogue - and in French, too! I hope it stays around for a long time...

Hi Shelli-
Funny that I saw your post tonight, because I was just about to share with you the link to my blog where I talked about stamping my Christmas cards with my daughters. They are 10, 7 and 4. Last year was the first year I let them help me and this year was even better because they're just that much older. I think of you and your daughters when I'm stamping with them because I see the lifelong love of stamping you've instilled in your children. I hope the same will happen with my own. It seems to me, it already has, and they're so little. Enjoy the post and enjoy your holidays!
