Announcement Photos--Check

Shanna and Jared had their announcement  photos taken yesterday. With Jon behind the camera, there were lots of fun shots to choose from!  (He and Shalae and the kids are in town for the family photo shoot for the catalog on Saturday, so it was perfect timing!)

Sean, who designed the announcement  (to die for!) helped out during the shoot; they went out to the Great Salt Lake. And now they (Jon and Sean) are working to prepare the print pieces  to go to the printers first thing.

Of course, because of the short notice (Shanna and Jared are getting married on April 10, LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY. . . BUT WE’RE NOT STRESSED OR ANYTHING!), the announcements won’t be hand-stamped at all. (Does it count that they’re being printed on our Elegant Eggplant card stock?) We just didn’t have time.

The bridal shower invitations and favors WILL be hand-stamped though; I’ll post them when we finish them.

And I’ll post a finished announcement as well, when they are hot off the press next week.

In the meantime, here are a few of the photos Shanna and Jared didn’t choose for the announcements.

It’s very exciting to see my youngest and last daughter prepare for this singularly important event in her life. I’m sure I’ll get sentimental at some point, but there’s no time for that right now. . . .we’ve got way too many things on our list to check off!

How exciting- I love the pictures. How long has their engagement been? It seems like we all just found out about it. I'm all for short engagements during courtship!

Did you do your own clothing shopping for the family photo this year or call in for some help? You have been very busy these days traveling, wedding planning and everything else! Rest up!

My dh and I had our first date on Feb. 23, were engaged on March 23 and my only regret...waiting until November to get married!!! I should have gotten married on March 25!!! So smart to just dive in when it's the right one!

April 10th. PERFECT day. This year we celebrate our 30th Anniversary on that very day! We were married in St George. I was a mere 19 yrs old.

whats the hurry on the wedding? Dont they know that you have to stamp all those wedding invitations, not to mention all the wedding favors, table decorations, etc etc. This stuff takes time. LOL. Just hope they (and you) get to enjoy it and not feel so rushed. We prepared for a year and it was over in the blink of an eye, wish i could have went back and slowed down the pace. Congratulations BTW

Congratulations! Wow when we heard a couple of weeks ago I didn't realize the wedding was so soon! I would be a nervous reck if I were you. Between going all the Workshops of a Lifetime, traveling, and in the mist of all planning a wedding....You are truly amazing!

Pictures are gorgeous so I can imagine the announcements..

Wishing you all good luck in your planning and hope everything goes well!

Stamping Hugs,
Terry~~

What I love about this, beyond the obvious which is how gorgeous they both look & how awesome the photos are, is this opportunity to learn about another faith's marriage practices. (I'm Catholic). Shanna's engagement triggered lots of questions that I asked my SAM to explain and I loved learning how LDS does weddings! Thanks for sharing Shanna's special event countdown because you are sharing even more than you expected and I, personally, am really enjoying it!!! PS I hope to see the newlyweds in the Caribbean! What a great honeymoon destination, hint, hint...;-)

All this and the Workshops of a Lifetime too! You are totally amazing! Mine is April 15th. I'd be willing to postpone it. I know you'll be exhausted. We appreciate the personal sacrifice you are making to do these workshops.

My first thought? Think of all the money you will save - you don't have to send Save the Date cards! Congratulations! Weddings are wonderful.

What exciting times for everyone in your family! We will miss you dearly at the Milwaukee Regional! BUT we can not wait until your WOAL/Opportunitiy Event/Meeting with Cherie in IL! Blessings to Shanna & Jared! Shelli - how do you manage? Busy lady! I do hope a long awaited vacation will be in store for you and Sterling when the craziness has settled! Take care - Hugs - Dianna in IL

Oh my, you've got a lot to do! The photos are just beautiful. Good luck with all of the preparations!

I love the pictures! I am currently hand stamping my own invitations (all 250 of them!) None of my family or bridal party will help because they don't want to mess them up! I am stamping Baroque on the invite 8 times! I may have carple-tunnel by the time I'm done...but they do look great!

So fun that you have Shalae & her family in town and that they will be back so soon (I assume they wouldn't miss it!) for the wedding. What a blessed family!
Great photos. Can't wait to hear about the family shoot on Saturday and the fun you cook up when you are all together this weekend.

I just read through the comments and Shelli I hope don't mind but I have to comment to Stella. Stella, what a great attitude you have about learning about traditons of religious ceramonies. I applaud you!

WOW! Talk about whirlwind! I look forward to a new face in our catalog~ Does he know about the matchy outfit he has to wear? LOL Congratulations to all of you, what a wonderful time in her life and yours!

These pictures are great! I first met my husband on April 15th when he was home on leave and the next time I saw him 3 months later we got married. This July will be our 11th anniversary. I got a lot of criticism from a bunch of people, but when you know in your heart, you don't want to wait any longer!
Good luck and lots of love to Shanna and Jared!!
