Happy Birthday, Shanna!

Tonight was a night of memorable firsts—the first night all the Gardner grown-ups have been together since before Shanna’s mission and the first night we’ve all been together with Jared, the newest Gardner-to-be. (Or is Shanna a Bridegan-to-be? Both, I guess. . . . )

It was a great birthday celebration (Shanna’s real birthday was yesterday, but we celebrated tonight). Shanna chose the restaurant—Tsunami, a Japanese sushi restaurant. Those of us who like sushi all ordered different rolls, and then we shared. (Those who aren’t sushi lovers ordered the chicken.)

We pooled our resources and gave Shanna a birthday gift of cash, which is much-appreciated as she heads into this new phase of her life. And we had a wonderful night of conversation and getting to know each other.

I wondered if all 12 of us on one long table might be too many to have meaningful conversations, but we had some great large-group talks, and smaller chats as well. I’m hoping we didn’t overwhelm Jared too much, but he seemed to take it all in stride. We’re all looking forward to getting to know him better, and we hope he’s looking forward to getting to know us better! (smile)

Happy birthday, Shanna—we love you!

I just remembered that everyone is in town for the family photo shoot for the catalog. How exciting that Jared gets to be a part of that this year. Good timing, Shanna, for making this announcement now. I guess the next big get together will be the wedding. But that will probably be a little crazy so this sounded like a wonderful evening. Happy Birthday, Shanna.

I have had the privilege of meeting your son-in-laws at conventions past and have even stamped with one during Make-in-Takes. They were fun - Jared is joining a fine rank of guys - has he learned to stamp yet?? I hope we will see him this year at convention so we can welcome him into your "other" family as we welcome Shanna home from her mission. Congrats Shelli, (and Sterling, too!) on having all the family together (and stateside) and for Shanna and Jared's upcoming Wedding.

I'm sooo happy for you to have all of your family together. I love it when my family gets together and there are only 8 of us. Enjoy your time with family and remember you are never to big to sit at 1 large table.

Happy Birthday Shanna!!!!

Mostlikely, Jared is a future Gardner - lol. In our family of 3 sisters, all the hubbies became members of the Burnich family, much more so than us gravitating to their families. I'm thankful for hubbies who don't mind that. We're crazy, we fight, we cry and laugh and we 3 girls do almost everything together, except that I'm in Kansas and everyone else is in Bountiful, Utah. That's what web-cam is for! I love hearing your precious family stories.

For example, toa large number of high-quality, they provide you with further increase in storage pockets. I understand that, whether or not you suspect or this does not, it is true.
