Off for the Weekend

I'm off to a family reunion in southern Utah and will probably be out of Internet range, cell range--any range that includes anything but relaxing! This is one of my favorite reunions because it usually happens shortly after convention, and I'm ready to just veg (is that a word?--you know what I mean) and visit.

So I don't feel quite so guilty, join me this weekend in a few moments of rest and relaxation doing something you love, like sitting on the back porch listening to the birds chirp, or taking a stroll in the warm summer breeze (some of you might have to take that stroll late at night when it's not quite so warm!), or maybe even stamp something just for fun--not for a workshop or other event--but because you're inspired by something or someone and want to create!

We'll talk the first of the week.

Shelli,

Enjoy your weekend. I went to visit my sister in Western NY last month and it was so relaxing and restful. I haven't heard such quiet in a long time. I am ready to go back except next time I will be doing a workshop for her friends and in-laws. Woo Hoo.

Blessings,

Karen

Yes, you'd best be resting up this week, because the following week is going to be very exciting. Looking forward to Palm Cove.

Me too! I'm going to a mini family reunion at the beach here in California and take lots of pics and enjoy life! Hope you have a wonderful time with yours and "veg".

While you are relaxing..I'll be having a fun Stampin up all nite party with my friends. I always have an all girl, all stamping party after convention with demos in the area and some of my best customers and e-friends.

After all the work you and your family did during convention week you deserve a great getaway.

I'm going to Girl Scout Camp with 19 girls and 5 Moms this weekend. Don't know if it will be as relaxing as your get-together, but hopefully it will be a rewarding weekend! Have a great time away, Shelli!

Shelli,

I hope you have a blast on your time away! I am going to be counting down the days until I can come to convention! My darling sweet husband told me this year when he saw the SU! Stampin Success that he wouldn't mind taking time off work to stay home with the kids (ages 5, 3, and 2 by then) while I go to convention...so for now it's time to save and dream about it! I can't wait! I have been with SU! for a little over 4 years and am still in LOVE! The coolest thing about SU! is that it got started the year I moved to the States from Portugual, so we are both celebrating our 20 year anniversary this year!

Have fun and thanks again for this awesome blog!!!

Have a great time! You undoubtedly deserve a little mini retreat after convention! ;-) I'll be hanging out with a few co-workers at the 'Taste of Edmonds' - where we'll eat, sample tasty tidbits, eat more, look at crafts, listen to music, and maybe have some dessert too! ;-) It's been decades since I've been to the Taste of Edmonds!

Have a wonderful weekend with your family Shelli!

I will spend time this weekend sitting in my backyard (in Canberra, Australia) smelling the scent of the freshly blooming ornamental plum tree blossoms and tending to my cauliflowers, broccoli and strawberries.

All the best,
Sam.

Hey Shelli - You know everyone is talking about you designing fabric, right? And your jacket in your blog photo just makes me SUPER suspicious that your clothes are made out of Stampin' Up! images! Speaking of that, do you have your clothes made for you?

Have fun on the relaxing retreat! I have my open house this weekend, so not much rest, but a ton of stamping fun with my new Sizzix and convention sets!!

TFS! L.

Enjoy the weekend, it is surely just going to get you into the creative mode when you return after all of the R&R!

You may not post EACH day, but I am sure we will appreciate it when you DO!

Shelli R E L A X ...... Your break is well deserved! You gave us a super convention and
I know that all the hard work and dedication will pay off. I am super-charged as I have been sleeping since I got home but did manage to get in a workshop and my friends saw how excited I was to share our new NEWS and products and catalog with them. I have a workshop and open house scheduled for next week but for this weekend I will take your advise and chill and visit my lovely grandchildren and spend time with my family.
Thanks for making convention so exciting!
Love you

Hope you enjoy listening to the birds while you "veg. My husband says I have my spark back in my eyes when I got back from convention! If he only knew that it's from getting ready to spend more money on new products!!!I received my catalogs yesterday and a friend and I are going to "veg" for the weekend looking at it.

So, this is the first entry I read on this new blog, and I am so happy I did. I've never felt like you're real, but you are!! : ) I know that sounds silly, but I can't help it.

Enjoy your 'vegging' and I think I'll try to work in some veg time as well!

I've been 'vegging' ever since returning from convention. You deserve as break ... so take a long one! God bless you on your trip but most of all "Let Go and Let God!"

Shelli,
Have a WONDERFUL weekend with your beautiful family! We all need that time to just "veg" and feel refreshed. Don't forget to take the time to spend some time alone with God! I know how important that is! It is so important! I know that I will try to remember to do that as well. We will be going to a fun event called Autism Day. A place were my son and our family and have a day of fun without being concerned with what our kids will do! I will also try and tell some people I meet about how Stampin' Up! has given me an great "get away" from the daily grind of caring for a child with special needs. Stampin' Up! is definately my time to relax, so I want to share that with others. Have a wonderful relaxing weekend, Shelli, you definately deserve it! HAVE FUN!!!
