Happy Birthday to Me

Now, it’s not really my birthday, but I am celebrating a birthday—kind of. One year ago this month, I started writing my blog!

While I must admit it’s added another to-do item on my list, I have thoroughly enjoyed it! I’ve always wanted to keep a journal, and this is the closest I’ve come to it in years. I love having a brief record of fun family gatherings, major events, and other daily activities.

I’ve also enjoyed the interaction with you. Ideally, of course, I could chat on the phone with each of you a few times a week (smile), but since that’s not possible, this is a great alternative. I love reading your comments, answering your questions (when I can), and just feeling like we have a dialogue of sorts.

It’s been fun to think about what I’m doing each week and what type of things you’d be interested in. I also enjoy anticipating sharing a project with you as I’m creating in my stamp studio. Even my family has good-naturedly accepted the fact that many of the happenings in their lives are out there for everyone to read about. (They’re good sports!)

So thanks for a great first year! I’m looking forward to continuing this fun new adventure!

Hi Shelli,
Happy Birthday indeed! Thanks for sharing your life with us. I was wondering how your girls feel/deal with having Shelli Gardner, the CEO and co-founder of Stampin' Up! as their mom? I know mom is first and foremost, but I'm curious how they handle it.

You started your blog around the same time that I was getting to know Stampin' Up!, so the blog added another dimension to my appreciation of the company. Thanks so much for allowing all of us to experience some of the adventures with you!

HAPPY BLOG BIRTHDAY! I think it is us, the readers, who should be celebrating! This blog is a blessing in our lives. I truly feel blessed and uplifted when I read your positive posts and when I get fun family event ideas to "borrow". Thank you for sharing with us! And a special thanks to the good sports in your family, as well.

Congratulations on your year, Shelli! That's really exciting! I know what you mean about it being another thing to do on your list, but it also helps us to sort through our lives and think things out. And can I say that I love, love, love your DSP background here?? My Hoodie from convention is so gorgeous, mostly because of this great design!
hugs,
Julie

Happy Blog Birthday Shelli! I so love to read what is happening in the life of the Gardner Family and the life of the Stampin' Up! family. It warms my heart to know that the CEO of a company cares for us that much to let us into her daily life just for a minute! I have to confess that I click on the blog at least twice a day to make sure that I haven't missed anything!!!

wow Already a year. Seems I have been busy working on my business I hardly noticed the time passing. I am within earshot of a promotion to Manager and hope to get to hug your neck at Leadership. I signed on a recruit just after convention making my downline count to 6 and one has already recruited her mom recently. So only one more to recruit another and I am there. Convention was great but I enjoy reading your weekly blog and catching up with you and your family. I feel more in touch and know that your caring ways are so genuine. It is nice to know that you are just like us and it has been nice reading your thoughts and feeling your ups and downs. You are a great person to look up to. Your family is so lucky to have you at the helm. Here's to many more years of blogging and Stampin' UP! successes.
Love to you and your family

Happy Blog Birthday Shelli, I love reading your blog and all the sharing you do with/for us. Thanks for all you do for all of us demos also. I have to share I signed up my first recruit yesterday (not really my first, since I have had 3 others over the 13 1/2 years), but I am really trying to help make it to 3000 by Aug. 31. My best friend Candyce Michael (executive) now tells me I need to sign up 2 more so I can promote to Sr. Supervisor and attend leadership with her, she is such a great cheerleader and we are not even up, down, side lines, just friends. Anyway, wanted to share that with you, since you share with us. Didn't get to talk with you at convention, but I did get to talk with Sterling and he remembered me from Honolulu regionals. Hope to see you in Phoenix. Hugs, Candy

Shelli,

I really appreciate you take the time to write in your blog. It is certaily interesting to see what it is implicated or how you wiggle to handle family, business, religion and still have the time to design such a magnificents items or cards.
In some cases it cultivates me when I read about your religion and activities.

Keep going, and Happy 1 year blogging
